St. Francis Wood Residence
A young, professional couple recently moved to San Francisco, and wanted to complete their master bedroom, guest bedroom, living room, dining room and eat-in kitchen. The home, located in the St Francis Wood neighborhood, is a 1929 Spanish Mediterranean with classic architecture. We chose classic details, but kept the materials clean and simple so the home wouldn’t feel too traditional for the young couple.
We worked with some of the pieces they had and filled in with a curated collection of new and vintage sourced furniture, lighting and accessories. We reupholstered chairs in the living room and chose a classic linen, with an accent of a bold black stripe down the middle to give the traditional chairs a bold, yet classic feel. In the eat-in kitchen we featured a hair on hide to “ground” the little breakfast nook table and chairs and to offset the cool tones of the wall color, marble table, and gray-washed French-inspired chairs. The glass pendant was a vintage find from the Alameda Antiques Fair.
